About
Software engineer, builder, occasional writer.
Hi 👋🏻, I'm Michael — a software engineer who loves exploring, building, and shipping applications that solve real problems. I'm passionate about crafting thoughtful digital experiences — built on clean architecture, intuitive design, and code that lasts.
I've spent the last several years building product across the stack — from data-heavy enterprise CRMs to consumer web apps and cross-platform mobile that runs everywhere.
Right now I'm building PairSync — a peer-to-peer file and clipboard sharing tool for desktop and mobile. No cloud, no accounts, no relay servers.
01How I work
I'm a product engineer who ships cross-platform software end to end. My instinct is to collapse a problem into shared, typed domain logic — state machines, schemas, contracts — then let a single codebase reach web, mobile, and desktop at once instead of rebuilding it three times.
Recently that's looked like PairSync (P2P file sharing, no cloud), ClinicCore (compliant clinic management), and Notemark (notes everywhere, end-to-end type-safe). I reach for tools like Drizzle, Zod, and XState because I want behavior that's legible and hard to break.
I invest in the boring infrastructure early — tests, CI, typed boundaries — because that's what keeps shipping fast from turning into shipping regressions. I care about the small things, since that's usually where a product feels considered instead of assembled.
02Current focus
PairSync — Peer-to-peer file and clipboard sharing — open source. Tauri, Rust, Expo.
Design system — Personal component library built on Tailwind v4 + Base UI.
Writing — Occasional long-form on engineering decisions and tooling.
